Hello friend as you know from the title of the article that what we are going to discuss in this article, I will try my level best to provide you with every sort of information which is genuine and correct. Let us start from the beginning.
Prophecy regarding the arrival of Jesus?
so, let us look for the proof whether there is anything regarding the prophecy of arrival of Jesus or not.
See when we read the old testament book Isaiah which is a part of a bible chapter number 7 and verse number 14, it says “therefore the lord himself shall give you a sign behold, a virgin shall conceive and bear a son and shall call his name Immanuel.” Note: A virgin who has been talked about here is mother marry and Immanuel is Jesus.
Evidence says that there was a prophecy about the arrival of Jesus in the previous books of bible or old testament and by this we can assume that how important that person is who is being prophesied about his existence into this world.
But this doesn’t mean that He is a god because there are lots of person in this world who are being prophesied about their coming forth into this world of mortal like Buddha, Rama, Krishna etc.
Does Jesus say He is God?
Now let us come to the point where Jesus says he is GOD.
“I can challenge everyone that there is no personality on this planet who can point out 1 verse from the Bible where Jesus unequivocally, unambiguously, explicitly says he is God”.
Let’s us come to the proof that are given by some people indicating that Jesus is god. They quote some verses from the bible insinuating that Jesus said himself god. Like it is when the companion of Jesus, Philip ask Jesus to show him the father which is from the book John.
John 14:8 which says “Philip saith unto him, lord, show us the father and it sufficeth us.”
Now many of you will be thinking why this verse is regarded as justifying Jesus as god by many people it is because you will know it in the later verses of the same book John in the same chapter 14. Let us take next verse which is a reply to the question of Philip,
John 14:9 says “Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you and yet hast thou not known me Philip? He that hath seen me hath seen the father and how sayest thou then, show us the father?”
John 14:10 says “Believest there not that I am in the father, and the father in me? The words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself. But the father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.”
See from the last three verses it is pretty common that Jesus reflects the Father bigger that he, and he listens to the father words and does accordingly, now a very strange thing will come to one’s mind is that if Jesus is the God why he has to listen to another person and do what he says him to do. Very Awkward to accept this for one who is sensible that why anyone person who is a God has to follow the path given by someone else and follow it blindly in short why he has to work on other power if he is a God.
But still some people say’s Jesus and the Father are the same and one. And he is following none another then his own words or decree.
Does Jesus and the Father are same and one?
A very strong statement from the book John. Where Jesus made this statement openly to conform his and the Father relation to his companion.
John 10:30 says “I and the father are one.” means Jesus and the father are one that’s what the verse wants to say.
But stop, just look at the verse once more it says that I (Jesus) and the Father are one (same) not Father and I are one (same) nor does he say I am the father both things are different in meaning.
Well then what he tries to say here, to know the answer just go few verses back from John 10:23 to John 10:29 in which you will find that Jews comes and ask Jesus that whether he is CHRIST or not then on verse,
John 10:25 “Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I do in my father’s name, they bear witness of me.”
From this verse it is very much clear that Jesus it talking about the work which he do in the father’s name and it reflects the nature of his being, which means he is trying to explain the Jews that he has been sent by his father to do his works and in connection with the verse John 10:30 if you decipher then it actually speaks about the work which Jesus was doing at that time was according to the Father desire so in a manner they both are same in work or avocation.
Now many of you will be in doubt about which work do Jesus is talking about, to get the answer let us look verse,
John 10:26 “But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you.”
John 10:27 “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.”
John 10:28 “And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.”
John 10:29 “My father, which gave them me is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand.”
Let me explain these in very lucid way.
If you read above verses then you will get that Jesus is talking about training the people to walk in the path assigned by his Father but he precisely says that only those will understand his words which are given by his Father to him and others will not understand or believe him because they are not given by his Father to him. And if they follow his (Jesus) words then they will get eternal life and nobody can separate them from his (Jesus) hand because they are given by his father into his (Jesus) hand and there is no greater power or energy in this world who can snatch them from his Father hand who is the ultimate power. So, if you look step wise all the verses then you will get to know that in John 10:30 Jesus says that he and the father are one in work or profession not in existence.
See, it is belief that makes people blindly follow something, sometimes it can be good for someone but it can act opposite also, we can see in verse John 10:28 some boisterous words have been used like eternal life, shall never perish, I mean do people in this era belief that if they do something or follow something with full faith they are going to have eternal life which will never end in other term they will become immortal. It is good if it is working for you otherwise I would suggest follow science in some matter.
But if still if there are some doubt about verse John 10:30 then let me tell you that this is not the only verse where Jesus used this kind of verse or statement. In other Verses like
John 17:21 where Jesus says “that they all may be one, as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.”
John 17:22 “And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:”
John 17:23 “I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.”
Now if we read the above verses it is clearly stated that if the disciples which were 12 in numbers, of Jesus accept his teachings and follow the path given by him then they too will become one with the God or the Father. Now if we follow this statement then we have to accept that there will 12 disciples plus one more (as we are assuming that the Father and Jesus are one) is equal to 13 Gods total. But hold a second let us accept the truth as it is and it speaks about the unity of work in which they all will united if they start doing the work which Jesus is doing.
How Jesus and the Father are different?
See the follower of Bible will accept this that the Father is the God, and he has got some miraculous power to generate and destroy a being or anything mobile or immobile. Some of the verses which are strong enough to prove that Jesus is not God and they are.
In Book Numbers 23:19 it is said “God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? Or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?”
Note: Here it has been said that God is not a man nor he is a son of man, here Man implies for a human being of either sex.
In Book 1 Timothy 2:5 it has been said “For there is one God, and one mediator between god and men, the man Christ Jesus;”
Now this verse has broken the one qualification of God which is that God is not a man and in 1 Timothy 2:5 describes Jesus as the Man and if we see the other crucial point which states that God is not a son of man then we will find that Jesus was born by Mother marry womb so in a manner he is a son of man. a human being.
In Matthew 27:46 says “And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, Lama sabachthani? That is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?
Now tell me one thing if Jesus is a God then who forsaken him because according to some people he is God, then why he is accusing someone, why don’t he accused himself because he is a god and should know everything even the reason behind his being forsaken. Why he is asking question, he is a God and should be omniscient. One thing more to be noticed here is that Jesus uses the term My God, My God from this we can be sure about a person or spirit or anything whatever you like to describe him, that he is even a God of Jesus. We should also remember that, if you have read the Bible we would be knowing that there are many things which Jesus doesn’t know which the Father knows and the Father knows everything whatever other people or Jesus knows, there is a very clear distinction between the power of Jesus and the all-Knowing Father.
But still there are people who are so stubborn that they don’t want to accept the truth as it is.
Luke 22:41 “And he was withdrawn from them about a stone’s cast, and Kneeled down, and prayed,”
Luke 22:42 “saying, Father, if thou be willing, removes this cup from me: nevertheless, not my will, but thine, be done.”
Now just try to understand the above verses specially the bold italic words, if you really got it then you will understand that Jesus is praying to someone and that person is the Father and he is saying that do what is your wish not mine, now tell me one thing if someone is equal to someone, then why he will pray to him that makes no sense, if Jesus is the God or even equal to the Father, then why he is praying to the father to remove the problems of his, what does he don’t have the power to remove his own problem does he need someone to assist him, this is the very basic question which can arise in anyone’s mind, then it definitely means that the Father has an upper hand over Jesus. This verses really makes a clear distinction between the Father and Jesus thinking and willingness, that they both have a different nature of thinking and willingness and that the Father is all-powerful and even Jesus need him for his existence.
There are many such verses which makes clear distinction between Jesus and the Father that they both are different but works as one because they work is the same as Bible says.
Does we should honour the Father only?
According to bible, as far as we have found that the Father had send the son means Jesus, so in that manner Father is the essential necessity of Jesus existence and he should be worshiped by the people before the Father the son was there and after the son the Father will be there, there is no doubt about it according to the Bible.
One of the most important things which the people get confused about in bible is about differentiation between the Holy spirit, the Father and the son (Jesus). Well to simplify it just remember when there was nothing, I am mean to say when the universe was void and nothing existed then there was only the Father and the Holy spirit which was within him existed, and whereas about the son, he was a later representation according to the Bible.
John 5:23 “That all men should honour the son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the son honoureth not the Father which hast sent him.”
Now here too is a clear statement that the Father has sent the Son(Jesus) signifies that the Father has all control over his son(Jesus), now whereas about the Honouring the son is necessary or not then this verse clearly signifies that yes one should have to honour the son if he/she want to honour the Father because it clearly says that a person who does not honour the Son does not honour the father. So, in a way it becomes a necessity of this so-called religion to worship the son. And I think just of this statement and like this kind of verses most of the people fall into trap and start thinking Jesus (the son) as god.
See in the whole Bible you will find that the Father or the God of Bible wants his son(Jesus) to be honoured and respected by the people according to the Bible, see I always used this term “according to the Bible” because it’s my perception that I think that nobody knows whether it has been said or not, we accept that has been said just by our faith and believe in the book because there is no one in this world who can proof anything or genuineness of the words whether it has been spoken or not”. But nevertheless, it’s another topic of discussion, let us move to other face of this article.
Does any other book talk about Jesus other than Bible?
Frankly saying there was no other book of that era other than Bible which has a clear description of Jesus, Nowhere Jesus was found other than Bible, in harsh words “HE WAS LITTERLY MISSING”. Some people say that it was all fantasy and people has created that personality to rule the world under his name and many rumours too says that he was a sinner and created misconception between people about God and its ideology but that is not correct these all are balderdash, I think the people who talk rubbish about other religion they are novice in religion they need to learn many things because it is a clear truth whether you accept it or not “people accepts religion on the basis of its trueness and goodness which it speaks about of doing great benefit for humankind”.
Well if we talk about the books which talks about Jesus then it is sure it may be some Abrahamic religion book, now I know that many of the people of other religion will not accept the theory of another religion it is sure because it is about the difference of thinking which exist in different religion and its practises which are too different, so it will be very much hard to digest that some other religion book is having the audacity to describe other religion. But still I think if someone is saying something at least we should have a look to it because everything which exist in this world has two side just like coin which has two side.
Well if we talk about Quran then we will find that Jesus Or Isa is present in the Quran and it talks about him more than any authoritative book present in this world. If we read it then we will find that it talks about the birth of Jesus and about his mother who was marry or Maryam.
The most crucial part of Quran is that it talks about Jesus as the second last Prophet and messenger of God but nowhere it testifies him as the God but it puts him in the series of Prophet which is the main cause of dissension between Bible and Quran followers.
Quran 5:116 “And God will say, “O Jesus son of Mary, did you say to the people, ‘Take me and my mother as gods rather than God?” He will say, “Glory be to you! It is not for me to say what I have no right to. Had I said it, you would have known it. You know what is in my soul, and I do not know what is in your soul. You are the knower of the hidden.”
With this verse I don’t think that there is anything to say about the mindset of Quran followers, See, if you ardently follow something then you will believe every sort of word whether it is acceptable or unacceptable.
Well it is my personal thinking that nobody is eligible to describe religion, we can try our level best to teach it but at last you need to learn yourself with genuine evidence otherwise every religion people will try to boast something outstanding about their religion and will not let the latent part of every religion which are written very strongly in their scriptures disclose it, until you yourself read and comprehend it.
Be in peace and let other be in peace. Comment if you think that something else should I have written or something which you don’t like it in this article.
